Welcome to Hilltop Recipes — our little corner of the internet, coming to you from the green hills of Todi, Italy.
From our cozy kitchen, we share easy, authentic Mediterranean, Italian, and International recipes that you can cook wherever you are.
Everything we make is inspired by our everyday life in Umbria, our travels across the Mediterranean, and our love for simple, nourishing food made with good ingredients and lots of heart.
Our Mission?
To help you get a satisfying, Mediterranean-style dinner on the table without stress.
From creamy lemon orzo to juicy chicken shawarma, refreshing bean salad, and our 15-minute Mediterranean tuna salad, every recipe we share is:
- Easy, healthy and ready in about 30 minutes
- Made with simple, honest ingredients
- Tested and loved in our own home — often after long, busy days
Why trust us?
Nico was born and raised in Italy, then spent years living and working around the world — falling in love with international food along the way.
He brings to the kitchen a mix of hands-on home cooking (thanks to his Italian Nonna Lidia) and way too many professional cooking courses — both in person and online.

He also has a bad habit of buying fancy kitchen equipment we absolutely do not have room for. The latest? A Le Creuset bread Pan and an Italian-made gelato machine (affiliate links) that looks like a spaceship and makes ice cream so good we forgave it.
Louise brings the magic behind the lens — with a passion for photography, filmmaking, marketing, and community-building from her years in NYC, Dublin, and Denmark.
Everything you see on Hilltop Recipes — from the food to the photos to the stories — is created by the two of us. We cook it, shoot it, eat it, and if it doesn’t pass the weeknight dinner test, it doesn’t get published. Period.
